Backup
your pc:
Yes Windows XP Home & Professional version has a
backup utility. This is not mentioned in windows
anywhere so many people have no idea that it is
even included. The only downside to the Windows
backup utility is that it you have to manually
install it. Don't worry we will walk you through
every step of the way.
This Windows tool is very basic and doesn't look
fancy but it does the trick. You may choose to
use a backup software other than Windows. For
starters you will need your XP installation cd.

1. Put your cd in the drive and most likely the
Windows Wizard will open. Close the wizard.
2. Press the start button and press run, type in
Drive:\ALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP
(replace the word "drive" with the actual drive
that your cd is located in usually this is "D:\"
or "E:\" on most computers.

3. Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file to start
the wizard that installs Backup
4. Once the Windows Wizard is complete, click
Finish. |
