Cleaning your cache:
First off what in the world is cache? Is it good
or bad?
Cache is temporary files that are stored on your
computer to make programs and WebPages load
faster. Without going into too much detail, one
example of cache would be when you are surfing
on the internet. The websites that you visit
often will load faster than pages from sites
that you don't frequent. First before loading
images from the website your computer will
directly load images saved on your hard drive.
This saves loading time and bandwidth from the
website.
To manually
clean out your cache please follow along.

1. In your browser (internet explorer), Select
"Tools" in the tool bar then "Internet Options".

2. In the new window that opens press the button
named "delete cookies", an alert will pop-up
press "ok"
3. Read all of this step before completing the
function as it may give you unwanted results. If
you choose not to delete files continue to step
4.
Deleting files for this
step will erase all your pre-saved information
in forms like your username and password. If you
know your usernames and passwords then continue
with this step. In no way will the "delete
files" function delete any hard copies of files
on your computer, this is strictly referring to
Files saved in your temporary files.
Now press the button named "Delete files", an
alert will pop-up and select the checkbox
(delete all files) then press "ok".
4. The last step is to clear your history of
WebPages that you have visited. This can
automatically be set to delete every day or so.
In this example I set this to 1 day (see image
above).
5. The last step is to "Apply your settings and
then press the "ok" button. |
