Phishing:

I know what fishing is but what in the world is phishing?
Phishing is bad, it is when a scammer will put up a website look-alike and try to get you to log into it so that they can receive your personal info like credit cards, bank account numbers, social security numbers, and so on.
Detect this fraud is not impossible, you just have to be extra careful when you are dealing with any personal or financial information.
The first rule is to never follow a link from your email or another website when logging into your account, always type it in the address bar yourself.
Secondly make sure that the website has a security lock on the bottom and that the address bar says https:// instead of http:// ("S" stands for secured server).
Some phishers have even created very intelligent programs that will place an image on top of your address bar to give the appearance that the website is secure. If you ever feel that it may be a phishing website follow your instinct and get out.
